7 Children, 4 Adults Transported To The Hospital After Fort Myers Crash %%excerpt%% US 41

Seven children and four adults suffered several injuries in a crash on US 41 near Island Park Road in Fort Myers.

According to the South Trail Fire Department, everyone injured in the crash was taken to local hospitals. Officials said four of the children have serious injuries, two have non-life-threatening injuries, and one has minor injuries.

Firefighters on scene said all adults injured have non-life-threatening injures.

The cause of the crash was not disclosed but police revealed that the incident is under investigation.

The crash led to the closure of US 41 with only one southbound lane open. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
