55-Year-Old Man Killed In Crash Involving A Semi In Duval County

According to the Florida Highway Patrol A fatal crash has resulted in all southbound lanes being blocked on I-75 in Duval County due to a collision between a Dodge pickup truck and semi-truck.

In a report by the Florida Highway Patrol the man was killed when a semi driver failed to see the victim’s truck and then proceeded to make a left turn into his path resulting in the crash where the pickup was traveling southbound in the left lane. The semi driver who caused the accident sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for medical attention following the collision.

Unfortunately the 55-year-old male driver of the pickup was killed in the crash and pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

FHP asked to avoid the area while the crash site was being cleaned up. A one lane detour was set up in the northbound lane for southbound traffic.

The names of the crash victims were not released to the public and no further information has been released at the time of filing this report.
