Five people were injured in a crash at the intersection of Sunset Drive and US 1 including two pedestrians.

According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Officials, all of the victims were taken to Kendall Regional Medical Center while one person was airlifted. Three people were in critical condition.

Meanwhile, eastbound traffic was shut down at Sunset Drive and South Dixie Highway as a result of the crash.

In a report by the South Miami Police, South Dixie Highway was also shut down between Southwest 57th Avenue and 62nd Avenue.

Alternative routes are advised until the scene of the crash is cleared. Authorities have not released the names of the victims involved in the crash. No further details have been released by the authorities. Authorities are still investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
