An officer was involved in a crash in Northwest Jacksonville. The result ended with a 4 year old having to be rushed to the hospital.
The crash was reported at Soutel Drive and Scott Woods Drive. According to Jacksonville Sheriff Office, an officer was responding to a call and in route. He had his sirens and lights on when a Chevy Camaro abruptly pulled out in front of the officer’s patrol car.
All those in the vehicle were taken to the hospital with injuries, including a 4 year old. Jacksonville officials said that the driver had the most serious injuries and all the rest, including the officer, had minor injuries.
The identities of those involved is not yet known. No further information has been released to the press. The investigation is ongoing as to how the accident happened.
