35-Year-Old Motorcyclist Injured In Crash On U.S. 31 In Fort Myers Authorities reported a traffic crash on U.S.

Authorities reported a crash on U.S. 31 in Fort Myers that left a man critically injured after he was thrown off the motorcycle he was riding.

According to the news release by the authorities, the crash happened when the motorcyclist was traveling south on U.S. 31 in the center lane.  The driver of a Nissan Titan pulled onto U.S. 31 from a store parking lot and right into the path of the motorcyclist.

The impact of the collision threw him off the bike. He was critically injured and was taken to the hospital as a trauma alert patient.

The accident closed all lanes for several hours while road crews cleared the scene of debris. The driver of the Nissan Titan remained at the scene of the crash. Officials say all lanes have reopened for normal flow. No other details were released.  An investigation is still ongoing.
