Authorities report a teen was critically injured in a two vehicle crash that closed St. Johns Bluff at Beach Boulevard in Jacksonville.

Officials say a Nissan minivan ran a red light at a high rate of speed and slammed into a Honda Accord. The Nissan had jumped the curb and hit the Honda Accord that was sitting at the red light.

The driver and teenage passenger of the Honda Accord were taken to the hospital in critical condition. The driver of the Nissan was also seriously injured and was taken to the hospital.

The cause of the crash is unknown at the time of this report. Authorities have commenced a thorough investigation. Details of the parties involved in the crash have not been released by the authorities.
