12-Year-Old Seriously Injured In Multi-Vehicle I-75 Crash

A 12-year-old Hialeah girl suffered serious injuries after a crash involving four vehicles in the northbound lanes of I-75 near the Bonita Beach Road exit.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 57-year-old Tampa man driving a van with seven passengers, including the child, rear-ended a pickup truck that had slowed due to traffic in the area just before 5 p.m.

Troopers said the crash caused the pickup truck to hit a sedan before crashing into a guard rail.

The van then hit a cable barrier.

Troopers said, the debris from the crash also hit another sedan before all four vehicles stopped.

Out of the 11 people involved two were uninjured, eight suffered only minor injuries, and one was seriously injured, investigators said.
