One person was killed after a four-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon on US-301 and CR-218.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened when the driver of a Ram 3500 pickup truck was hauling an SUV on a flatbed trailer going northbound on US-301 when it collided with a Kia Cadenza for unknown reasons.

The crash forced both vehicles to hit a Ford Expedition, which then caused the driver of the Expedition to crash into a Hyundai Sonata.

Authorities say the driver of the Kia was pronounced dead at the scene. Details of the deceased were not released because officials need to identify the next of kin.

Two others are suffering from minor injuries, according to the traffic report.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
