1 Dead, 1 Injured In Jacksonville Crash

One person is dead and another was injured after a two-vehicle crash on Jacksonville’s Northside.

Officers said they responded to the 10800 block of Harts Road at 2:37 p.m., after receiving a report of a crash with injuries and a car on fire.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, a Nissan Murano and a Dodge Charger crashed at the Harts Road and Chestnut Oak Drive North intersection.

After their initial investigation, police believe the Charger was traveling north on Harts Road and collided with the Murano, which was turning left onto Harts Road. The Nissan flipped several times as a result of the crash, JSO reported.

The driver of the Murano died in the crash, according to police. First responders took the driver of the Charger to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
